The Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP) is the list of federally funded studies and ongoing activities, plus any supplementary planning projects identified by Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) and the MATS board members. This set of planning projects is revised each fiscal year. Among the usual tasks supported in the UPWP, MATS develops demographic data, land use information, and analyses necessary for the development and monitoring of the Long Range Transportation Plan and the Transportation Improvement Program.
